Hello, and welcome to the Newmarket Cats website. We are a very, very small cat rescue group who work with just three fosterers in and around Newmarket in Suffolk. As well as fostering cats and kittens, we also work with cats in the community, feeding a number of feral cats and helping with on-going care with some of the cats we have re-homed. Where possible we always try to rehome feral cats and kittens to homes as opposed to stables, and give ongoing help and support, as much patience is required. We also, wherever possible, try to home kittens in pairs, with his or her litter mate, and avoid splitting up pairs of kittens. We only rehome single kittens when there is only a single kitten.

If you have lost a cat or kitten, please email leaving details and please let us know any news and we will endeavour to help where we can - similarly, if you would be interested in adoption please - email is jancis@harvey24.go-plus.net

I have to add that we do prefer if possible to re-home cats and kittens to homes in and around Newmarket and we always need to home visit following any suitable enquiries.

this is Molly - she has physical and emotional problems, and would need an extra special home where she is the only cat, and would be a lovely companion on a one-to-one basis - for details please email as above

a lovely ginger boy, who is coming round and would make a wonderful companion too - email for details

Here is Boysie Jnr. who turned up on us a year ago, he is now neutered, micro-chipped and has a very strong personality. He is not a feral cat, but has taken some time to adjust to home comforts, he would make a lovely one-to-one cat with an understanding owner and a bit of patience. He is very affectionate.

This picture taken shortly after their rescue. Here are our boys as they are today - Monty and Python - two feral boys, but Monty is getting really affectionate - again, these boys would need a great deal of patience with an experienced owner, used to the wonderful ways of feral cats. Given time and patience in a quite home, they would make ideal companions, and the love to company of other cats in house, and we would be there to help out with support and advice, and as in all rehoming, if things don't work out, we are there to take them in again. They need a break, they need a home.

Here are some recent pictures in the garden of their foster home - taken on 5th April 2010
